Episode 138 covers the first year of Castro’s regime in 1959. Castro establishes officers of the new government, conducts military tribunals and holds trial, convicts and executes over 500 war criminals. He nationalizes American owned assets on the island and makes a trade agreement with the Soviets, as the United States places sanctions on Cuba for its actions.
