Episode 140 is the first in a multi-part series on the Bay of Pigs, as we wind down our overall series on Cuba. Hear the story of the Kilpatrick Report, the top secret report authored by the Inspector General of the CIA in the aftermath of the Bay of Pigs. With findings so explosive, it was labeled top secret and locked away for some 37 years in a safe before its general release to the public. Hear that much of the weak planning surrounding the invasion attempt was accepted because there was a concomitant plan to deploy the Mafia in a plan to assassinate Castro.
